When my middle one started working with Erin we immediately learned so many new things. Erin was instrumental in preparing our daughter, Madison, for the college application process. Ensuring that the student is taking the right college classes and focusing on the correct things can be overwhelming for a high school student and the parents! Madison was at a big high school and finding enough time with the high school counselor could be challenging at times. We knew we needed additional help so we requested Erin's support early in the process. There is so much involved in this process and she provided valuable input for Madison's course schedule as well as help preparing her essays early on! Erin was always available for Madison and us, the parents! We both worked full time demanding jobs and couldn't devote the amount of time needed for Madison so Erin's help was critical. Madison also felt so comfortable talking to Erin about what was most important to her when thinking about which college would be the best fit! There are so many choices and finding a home that would fit her needs was really important. Erin helped us realize this as well. She even researched schools based on Madison's feedback. Erin was referred to me when my oldest son began filling out college applications in the summer prior to his senior year in High School. I wanted to make sure he was organized and timely about the process, and somewhat enjoyed it, and also wanted to make sure that it was "'his" process without his father or I having much input. Speaking for myself, a college grad from the mid 90’s, the admissions process is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like it was 30 years. There are too many levels in the admissions process, and each university has different admission requirements and deadlines. So unless you can dedicate many, many, many hours of your time to the admission process…then hire Erin! She has made it her job to be an expert on all universities and college's. She got to know our son, and was able to match his needs up with school he would have otherwise completely overlooked. Right now he’s three for three on acceptances and we’re actually enjoying the process. College admissions can be a good experience….so do your family a favor and get some advice.
